A Seattle brewery is already celebrating a success by scoring Seahawks beer. The beer will be available whether or not the Seattle Seahawks win against the San Francisco 49ers at the NFC Championship game.
The brewery named Hillard’s beer has scored with the release of the 12th Can. The can is named in honor of the Seattle Seahawks fans. The fans are so loud that they’re called the “12 man” on the field.
The idea started when a Seattle station asked for a Seahawks-themed beer. The brewery decided to step up to the challenge by offering its own idea.
Then came the 12th Can beer. This can is also referred to as the American Pale Ale. The Seattle P.I. refers to it as a light and refreshing drink that will soothe your throat after screaming for hours in the stands.
The brew released in September and exceeded the brewery’s expectations. Close to 300,000 cans were produced, which was eight times more than Hillard’s goal. Hillard’s was brewing from 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. in one day in order to serve the beer to eager fans.
Hillard’s will sell the beer in 12-packs of 16-ounce cans. The prices range from $22 to $23 per pack.
The Seahawks beer will be available at grocery stores and bottle stores across the Seattle area. It will also be available at the brewery located in Ballard. This brewery is known as Seattle’s most productive out of the 10 breweries located in the neighborhood.
