Pingdom Destination

Segment makes it easy to send your data to Pingdom (and lots of other destinations). Once you've tracked your data through our open source libraries we'll translate and route your data to Pingdom in the format they understand. Learn more about how to use Pingdom with Segment.

Getting Started

When you toggle on Pingdom in Segment, this is what happens:

  • Our CDN is updated within 5-10 minutes. Then our snippet will start asynchronously loading Pingdom’s javascript onto your page. This means you should remove Pingdom’s snippet from your page if had previously put it there.
  • Pingdom will automatically start recording page load times. Go to Pingdom to view your page load performance data.

Since Pingdom only records data about page load performance, it does not collect any of the data represented by our API.

Segment lets you change these destination settings via your Segment dashboard without having to touch any code.

Real User Monitoring ID

You can find your Real User Monitoring ID in your Pingdom RUM dashboard by clicking the pencil icon to get to the Edit view. Your ID will appear in the code snippet as var _prum = ['id', 'YOURID'].
