Use Drift messages and email to nudge users to the Aha moment

When you combine Segment with a messaging tool like Drift, you can easily identify users who have performed a Signed Up event but have not yet reached meaningful activation milestones like your Aha moment. From there, you can build automated chat messages and send email notifications to nudge users to activate.

How this works:
  1. Define an activation metric that you’re trying to get users to reach—for example, adds 10 friends in 7 days
  2. Send track events to Segment when users reach these milestones (you can also use Segment Personas to build an audience that aggregates events like Signup initiated event has happened but Signup Complete has not
  3. Connect Segment and Drift to route track events and user traits to Drift
  4. Build “Playbooks” in Drift that trigger email notifications and chat messages to users that meet the criteria in the steps above
