Ask engaged users to take an NPS survey with Customer.io

NPS surveys can be incredibly useful. Not only do they provide a barometer for customer sentiment about your product, but when you leave open ended questions after an NPS survey, you can extract valuable qualitative insights.

With Segment and Customer.io, you can easily identify your most active users and ask them to take an NPS survey. First, you’ll want to define user qualification criteria for sending an NPS message. This could be based on any number of key events of your liking—recent logins, reaching your a-ha moment, making a purchase, etc. After you have that event and audience defined, you can trigger emails or messages via Customer.io when a user qualifies.

How this works:
  1. Connect Customer.io to Segment to get events like App Installed and Order Placed and Message Sent flowing into Segment
  2. Define your qualifying NPS event and make sure it’s available in Customer.io—you can also build a custom audience using computed traits in Segment Personas
  3. Build your campaign and qualifying audience criteria in Customer.io (or schedule a sync Segment Personas audience sync to Customer.io)
  4. Create your email/message and schedule it to send via Customer.io when a user qualifies
