Trigger upgrade messages to users who are likely to upgrade with Braze and ClearBrain

Using Segment, ClearBrain, and a customer notification tool like Braze, you can send triggered messages to users at times when they are most likely to upgrade. By ingesting Segment event data, ClearBrain automatically analyzes which of your users have a high propensity to upgrade to a specific plan type (e.g. team vs enterprise), and can sync that recommendation to Braze to trigger an upgrade notification.

How this works:
  1. Get data flowing from Segment to ClearBrain
  2. Configure a predictive goal in ClearBrain based on the upgrade path you’d like to optimize (e.g. developer plan → team plan)
  3. Create a predictive audience in ClearBrain based on your users with the highest propensity to upgrade (e.g. top 10%)
  4. Export your new ClearBrain predictive audience as a trait into Segment, which will be automatically passed into Braze as a custom attribute
  5. Configure triggers in Braze for users with your new ClearBrain predicted trait
