Trigger Intercom messages when users are likely to upgrade with ClearBrain

Using Segment, ClearBrain, and a customer messaging tool like Intercom, you can push Intercom chats to users when they are most likely to upgrade to a new plan. By ingesting Segment event data, ClearBrain can automatically analyze and identify which of your users have a high likelihood to upgrade, and can sync that data to Intercom to trigger an in-product notification.

How this works:
  1. Get data flowing from Segment to ClearBrain
  2. Configure a predictive goal in ClearBrain based on the upgrade path you’d like to optimize (e.g. team plan → enterprise plan)
  3. Create a predictive audience in ClearBrain of users most likely to upgrade
  4. Sync your ClearBrain predictive audience to Segment, which will be automatically pass matching customers into Intercom with a custom attribute
  5. Configure triggers in Intercom for users with your new ClearBrain predicted trait
