How Wishpond works

Wishpond is a landing page builder and marketing automation tool that relies on rich customer data to power customized customer communication. That data comes from a variety of sources. The landing pages you build in Wishpond provide an important source of data, but not the whole picture. You’ll need to install its Javascript library on the rest of your site or in your app so you can record additional actions that people take after hitting a landing page. Your developer will need to learn the data format and functions used to record data to Wishpond so that the tool has a view of the entire customer journey. The landing pages and marketing flows are all configured in the Wishphond app.

Get more out of Wishpond with Segment

When you enable the Wishpond integration in your Segment data source, several things happen. First, the Wishpond Javascript library is loaded on all the pages where Segment is present. In the background the page hits start getting recorded automatically and you’ll be able to deploy opt-in pop ups or forms via the Wishpond web app. Any user traits you’re recording with the Segment identify method will be mapped to the format Wishpond expects and sent along without any additional configuration required on your end. The same goes for events you’re tracking to Segment. Every event that happens on your site and its properties are mapped to the proper Wishpond Javascript function and recorded without writing Wishpond-specific code.
