How Convertro works

Convertro enables brands to manage their media spend in a single location. It’s powered by a complex attribution engine that requires very specific data to work properly. Once implemented, planning tools enable marketers to shift budgets away from inefficient or fraudulent sources to better performing ones. Usually people go through a full implementation process with the Convertro team to get up and running. Data from many different sources can be sent through together with contextual data like device and referral information attached. All these events need to be set up in theConvertro interface and mapped to specific codes for attribution to happen correctly. As such, getting Convertro implemented will require custom development by a technical resource on your team.

Get more out of Convertro with Segment

Segment makes it easy to send data through to Convertro in the format it expects. There’s an event mapping interface in the Segment integration settings that allows you to map any of your existing Segment events to the event names Convertro requires. Also, Segment has handled the mapping of contextual information like ip  and userAgent through to Convertro so you don’t have to learn the ins and outs of its API and data schema. The userId is also mapped to Convertro from Segment track and identify calls. Using Segment to install Convertro means you can effectively skip the custom development process and save time for your technical resources, not to mention reduce duplicative event tracking code on your site(s).
