Pingdom

Web performance monitoring

  • Automates web testing every minute from over 50 locations worldwide to track uptime, and enables alert notifications to track status updates, error messages, content changes, server response codes, and web outputs

  • Enables Real User Monitoring (RUM) to track website speed and loading stats such as network, browser information, location, backend time, send and receive time, and platform details and load times

  • Automates transaction tests by simulating global user experiences and pooling data for at-a-glance user behavior analysis

How Pingdom works

The Pingdom Javascript library needs to be added throughout your site to collect the data it uses. That means you’ll need to add the snippet they provide to all pages you want to monitor. No variable customer data like traits or custom events is needed for Pingdom to work.

Get more out of Pingdom with Segment

Rather than adding another Javascript snippet to your site, just switch on the Pingdom integration in Segment. There aren’t any custom settings, and only your Monitoring ID is needed to load the script immediately. One you enable the integration Pingdom will start monitoring your site’s performance. Using Segment to install Pingdom means you can cut out any development work entirely, since its already been done on your Segment implementation and doesn’t need to be updated with additional integrations you turn on.
