When you enable Chartbeat in Segment, the Chartbeat script will be added to your site automatically and without any need for manual code changes. The Segment
page method triggers a virtual page view in Chartbeat, including important page details automatically. This is especially important if you are tracking a single page app, since there’s no page reload when people are shown a new page.
If you’re recording page metadata like name, category, author, and other custom properties, that data can be passed from Segment directly to Chartbeat. You’ll see the information populated in Chartbeat as section, page name, author, and page properties.
