Calq

How Calq works

Calq does advanced custom analytics for mobile and web applications. To send data to Calq directly from your applications requires the use of the Calq API, which is facilitated by the available platform-based SDKs they provide. Implementation of these collection methods requires manual additions to your application client or server code.

Installing Calq on its own is similar to installing Segment for the first time. You’ll need to carefully map out your events and user traits to be collected, decide how you’ll use a Calq SDK or API endpoint to collect that data, and perform the necessary implementations into your products. Implementing Calq requires some manual additions to your application code.

Get more out of Calq with Segment

If you have an existing Segment implementation, you do not need to install a Calq SDK in order to use Calq.  This is because your existing Segment implementation is already able to collect and route information directly to Calq. Getting started with Calq becomes much simpler and does not require changes to your code.

Segment’s integration can collect and transform data for Calq directly from mobile applications and server-side Segment implementations. If all the events you want to track are being captured by Segment, this removes the need for you to include any Calq code in your applications at all. You get the benefits of tracking directly with Calq, without any of the time, labor, and app load time costs associated with adding new tracking code to your applications.
