How Tapstream works
Tapstream works by combining data collected via its SDK and Javascript library in your mobile app and on your site(s), respectively. In some cases, only the SDK is necessary. A developer will need to install the SDK into the app and hook into the SDK methods to send through to Tapstream the important events that users trigger. The SDK also collects device information to be used for targeting and attribution.
Get more out of Tapstream with Segment
When you use Segment to install Tapstream you don’t need to add any additional code hooks on top of your standard Segment implementation. All you’ll need to do on the web is flip on the Tapstream integration and the Tapstream Javascript library gets loaded in the background, automatically. Your page views and events get mapped to Tapstream by Segment immediately. To collect mobile data you’ll need to re-build your Segment SDK with the Tapstream SDK bundled into it and include the new build in your next app release. You don’t need to alter any of your existing events, though, as Segment will map them all to Tapstream automatically.
