We’re excited to announce that Twilio Segment has been accepted into the MACH Alliance, an organization dedicated to promoting open and best-of-breed enterprise technology ecosystems. Segment is the market-leading CDP not just because it saves customers time and money, but because we enable businesses of all sizes – from the Fortune 100 to the newest wave of AI startups – to take an extensible and composable approach to drive impact with customer data.

Why Joining the MACH Alliance Matters

The MACH Alliance—Microservices-based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS, and Headless—advocates for a modern, flexible tech ecosystem. Being part of this group means we're aligned with industry leaders who share our vision of open, adaptable technology solutions. We believe that by working together, we can innovate faster and provide better solutions for businesses looking to enhance their digital capabilities.

We believe that the MACH Alliance, and the values it stands for, are crucial for businesses making long-term investments in their technology stack and infrastructure. The flexible framework that Segment and other MACH members advocate offers high interoperability, preventing data or vendor lock-in. This means businesses can easily and appropriately adjust their stack as their data maturity and needs evolve. Additionally, MACH members prioritize ease of use and extensibility, allowing engineering teams to build a custom tech stack tailored to their specific requirements, rather than being confined to a rigid, pre-built stack designed for unsupported use cases.

From day one, Twilio Segment was built to be used with other systems – from our API-first platform to our commitment to open-source and extensibility. Our platform has 550+ pre-built integrations that you can enable with the flip of a switch, and offers the ability to scale data governance and identity resolution across thousands of customer touchpoints.

Companies can integrate seamlessly with various technologies, creating a customized tech stack that fits their specific needs. Our API-first design makes it easy for businesses to connect and manage their data across different systems. This ensures that whether you’re using Segment to unify customer data or integrating with other MACH members, our platform fits seamlessly into your ecosystem.

“Segment’s product philosophy is all about extensibility. We believe strongly that the best customer experiences are built on an interoperable unified profile, which can collect data from anywhere and activate it everywhere,”said Thomas Wyatt, President of Twilio Segment. “We're so excited to be recognized as a MACH partner today and join an ecosystem of other amazing software products & teams that embrace an ecosystem approach to customer data.”
